Philosophy

There are many responsible and conscientious Whippet breeders. It is an honor to be considered in the search for your new family member.

 

As lovers of this very special breed, our goal is to educate prospective homes about purpose-bred dogs and the importance of responsible breeding. Responsible breeders do not let their dogs end up in shelters and offer lifetime support to puppy owners.

 

 

Our puppies are selectively bred from AKC registered, health-tested parents. These are not DNA swab tests. They are costly, breed-specific screenings for heart, hearing, and eyesight performed by OFA board certified specialist veterinarians. While health testing is not a guarantee that there will never be a health issue, it certainly gives your dog the best chance for a longer life with you.

 

We analyze pedigrees and choose pairings with the goal of breeding Whippets that have good health, great temperaments, and align with the breed standard.

 

Our puppies come ISO-microchipped and receive age appropriate dewormings + puppy shots before going to their new homes. We raise our puppies with Puppy Culture Enrichment Training as we want to provide them with the best possible foundation. You will be responsible for continuing the deworming/shot schedules on time, feeding a quality diet, and providing age appropriate play/exercise (and training) to keep your Whippet mentally stimulated, happy, and healthy.

 

Breeder support is for the lifetime of your pet and we will take back any dog we have bred (regardless of age or reason) if you are not able to keep it. This is a non-negotiable condition of placement: the dog must come back to us and will not be placed with someone else or surrendered to a shelter.

 

Puppies placed with limited AKC registration may not be bred. No exceptions. Per AKC’s guidelines, we will transfer the paperwork upon receiving a copy of the spay / neuter certificate.
